Those are pomegranate seeds on top. The Holiday issue of Taste of Home (2010; btw, thanks mom!) has instructions for how to take pomegranate seeds out. It was sooo easy! I will definitely do that again. The combination of the pomegranate seeds, pear, onion, avocado, salad greens, and dressing was very good. I didn’t add the turkey this time, but I think it would taste just fine!

Pear Harvest Salad
I made a new salad for dinner this evening – Pear Harvest Salad:
